“As the sound of firecrackers bids farewell to the old year,” another year-end moment arrives—marking the transition from past to future, blending收获 (harvests) with hope. On January 27, 2019, accompanied by the lively echoes of firecrackers, Hunan Kangrui Coatings’ annual meeting officially kicked off.

The annual meeting will proceed in three steps: the year-end summary conference, an arts and entertainment gala, and a banquet.

Conference Chapter

At 9 a.m., in the company's second-floor conference room, the company chairman, special guests, and all employees gathered to review the achievements of the past year and outline plans for the coming year.

At the meeting, department managers first presented reports on their departments' accomplishments over the past year, and General Manager Cai Jianghong provided comments and guidance on each department's presentation.

At the conference, 10 winners were selected through democratic voting for awards including "Outstanding Manager," "Outstanding Supervisor," "Outstanding Business Pioneer," "Outstanding Production Pioneer," and "Outstanding Service Pioneer."

The company also specially invited Professor Yin Dulin, our company’s mentor for technological innovation and R&D—former Dean of the School of Chemical Engineering at Hunan Normal University and Director of the National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory. Professor Yin expressed his appreciation for Kangrui’s achievements over the past year and provided detailed guidance tailored to the company’s specific needs, covering areas such as safe production, employee learning and training, and laboratory management. Meanwhile, the company held a ceremony on-site to renew its industry-academia-research cooperation agreement with Hunan Normal University.

At the conclusion of the conference, Liu Jianxue, Chairman of Kangrui Coatings, delivered the annual summary speech. Mr. Liu highlighted that 2018 was a year of bountiful achievements for Kangrui. First and foremost, the company reaped significant rewards from its substantial investment in technology. In 2018, Kangrui allocated 10 million yuan to establish a new technology R&D center, which was subsequently approved as the Huaihua City Engineering Technology R&D Center. Additionally, the company filed a total of 10 patent applications in 2018, including 5 invention patents.

In 2018, we collaborated with Hunan Normal University to launch an architectural reflective insulation coating. This project won third place in the "Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition" held in Huaihua City, as well as the Best Popularity Award and an Excellence Award at the 5th Hunan Provincial Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. It also earned us a spot as Hunan Province's representative in the finals of the New Materials Group at the 7th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. Additionally, in 2018, our company was recognized as a "Little Giant" enterprise by Hunan Province.

Next came a bountiful performance: in 2018, the company's sales surged by 30% compared to the previous year, and two new offices were established, marking a significant step toward a groundbreaking sales model.

Mr. Liu also pointed out that while the achievements are encouraging, the shortcomings cannot be overlooked. Currently, the company’s technical capabilities remain relatively weak, making talent acquisition the company’s top priority.

At 2:38 PM, the Kangrui Annual Meeting entered the Tianqing Grand Hotel auditorium, sparking a vibrant celebration filled with dreams and achievements. At this moment, we were united by a shared emotional bond—“Thank you for being with us in 2018; let’s create even greater brilliance together in 2019.”

Heart-pounding face-to-face activities and hilariously spontaneous games repeatedly pushed the atmosphere to exhilarating new heights. Finally, a memorable chorus of "Unforgettable Tonight" brought the evening to its climax—ushering in Kangrui employees' heartfelt hopes for the company's bright future ahead.
